How Does Microdermabrasion Work?
Microdermabrasion treatments are performed in our office after a thorough consultation to decide what services will give you the best results. During the treatment, you will be asked to sit back in a comfortable chair as your skin is prepared and cleaned. The handpiece will pass over your skin as it both exfoliates and sucks up the crystals and dead skin. Although the treatment feels unusual, it is not painful so you won't need a local anesthetic or numbing cream. The microdermabrasion will be performed evenly in the selected areas but with extra caution on the delicate skin around the eyes. As soon as the process is complete, the skin will be cleaned to remove any residue before a moisturizer, chosen for your skin's needs with UV protection, is massaged into the skin.
